Infoedge - why there is so much variation?

If you compare any of the rankings or sites of Infoedge - there is so much of variation in the traffic - that you sometime wonder what is wrong with the data. Well I know that this is my third blog about Naukri but I just could not resist my temptation of putting my views in front of audience.

Well there is something fishy.

Is Naukri playing with data to show inflated numbers?

Well frankly I did not know and I just tried to verify the data with other sources than Alexa.

On Google Trends - I was searching for Naukri.com. What did I find out? The top city in the entire world which searches for Naukri.com on google is Noida (India).

Is this a coincidence that Naukri is based out of Noida?

But I am still not able to figure out that why they are all searching on Google :)

Fragile Alexa

Just to see how fragile Alexa is - take a look at the graph below. See if you can see something funny.

Well Clickjobs.com is fairly new entrant into the market. How can it generate so much traffic so as to beat everyone including Monster and coming so close to Naukri. Well here is alexa for you. Fragile.

Also see that job searching peaks during weekdays- however only for ClickJobs.com it is happening on weekends. Did they not have time to run the "BOT" on weekdays :)
